Can I use Pivot Point Grips in games? No. Pivot Point Grips was created as a training tool to reinforce proper grip placement on the bat. Its unique design is the first of its kind and its patented technology combines development feedback and comfort, all in one.

How does Pivot Point Grips give feedback to the hitter? The Power Grooves were designed to align the top hand within the optimal range of the bottom hand, to allow for the proper hand pivot and consistent barrel accuracy. When the hitter's hands get out of the optimal power range, the Power Grooves will become uncomfortable in the hitter's hands, forcing the hands back in the optimal power range. The reinforcement of the Power Grooves is how the hitter begins to feel the proper grip every time.

Why does it matter how you grip the bat?How you grip the bat is vital in how you deliver the barrel to the ball, but in baseball/softball it's often overlooked when teaching hitting. In golf, it's usually the first place an instructor would start when teaching the golf swing because it plays an important role on how you deliver the club face to the ball at contact. In baseball/softball it's even more important because you are hitting a moving ball. The proper grip is about having the right amount of wrist extension. Like us, you’ve probably noticed hitters who wrap their top hand around or over the bat (wrist flexion). This was the first reason why Pivot Point Grips was created….to stop roll over ground balls and teach hitter’s to feel palm up/palm down at contact.

Are Pivot Point Grips thicker than traditional batting grips?Yes! Pivot Point Grips is the very first oversized (fat) grip trainer for baseball and softball. The unique design is equipped with Power Grooves, ergonomic palm pads, and integrated knob to give the hitter developmental feedback and maximum comfort. The oversized grip provides more surface area for the hands, making it easier to control the barrel and improve barrel accuracy. In golf, oversized (fat) grips became popular on putters because it helps keep the club face square at contact resulting in better scores. Almost every PGA tour pro is using an oversized grip and it's becoming more popular on golfers irons and drivers.

What are the benefits of training with an Oversized Grip?In baseball/softball the skinny handles contribute to why hitter’s struggle gripping the bat properly. Hitters tend to grip the bat too tight and wrap their top hand around or over the bat causing them to roll their hands too early causing more roll over ground balls which eventually leads to more outs. No fun. When you train with Pivot Point Grips it teaches you to relax, making the bat feel lighter in your hands which allows you to engage the correct muscles to build a quick and tight swing. It provides more surface area for your hands making it easier to control the barrel. The grip will reinforce the hitter to be palm up/palm down at contact, teaching you to stay through the ball instead of rolling over. More hits equals More fun!

How are PPG Half Bats different from Traditional Half Bats?We love training hitters with half bats. They're light enough for hitters to feel how quick they need to be and it helps clean up the bat path to be able to flush the ball at contact. It can provide great feedback to the hitter. The challenge with Traditional Half Bats is the blade/barrel must be in the correct place when the hitter starts their swing to achieve the correct feedback. We have seen players struggle with getting the blade/barrel in the correct place causing the wrong feedback to the hitter which creates frustration and confusion for the hitter. Pivot Point Grips Half Bat makes it easy for the hitter to use by just grabbing the bat. Every single swing, the hitter can be assured the blade/barrel is in the correct place, giving the hitter accurate feedback every swing. Also, you are training your grip and learning to be palm up/palm down at contact to improve consistent barrel accuracy. If you’re looking to improve your barrel accuracy and clean up your bat path…..Pivot Point Grips Half Bat is the Ultimate Training tool for you!
